MEET THE ALUMNI

ELANDRAH ERAMIHA

Elandrah Eramiha migrating to Melbourne from Auckland, New Zealand with her family in 2004, Elandrah danced for various dance crews as a hobby and only realised after graduating high school that her passion for dance grew and decided to pursue a career in Performing Arts.

Elandrah began her dance training at Patrick Studios Australia at age 18, she then moved on to study Musical Theatre at Patrick Studios Australia to expand her training in the Performing Arts, under the supervision of Andrew Hallsworth.

The following year she landed the lead role, Felicia Farrell, in the Australian Premiere Musical, MEMPHIS. Her other dance credit include events such as: Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, NBL Launch Event, Nitro Athletics, NAB Ball and Elly Lukas Ball to name a few. In February 2018 Elandrah released her first Ep, alongside James Elmer (ABC3, AGT, SYTYCD), who together have formed the new upcoming Urban Duo, 90/10, and are currently working on more original music to release this year.Most recent Theatre credits include Bring It On the Musical, Aladdin and Kiss of the Spiderwoman for Melbourne Theatre Company.

EUAN FISTROVIC- DOIDGE

The week before beginning his training at Patrick Studios, country boy Euan had doubts about leaving Mount Gambia in South Australia to begin his performing journey. Thanks to some heavy persuasion from Todd Patrick & Andrew Hallsworth, he moved to Melbourne and started his training.
Within just 6 months, he had successfully auditioned for ‘Anything Goes’ the musical. Euan has gone on to perform as a number of lead and starring roles, including Paul in ‘A Chorus Line’, Felicia in the national tour of ‘Priscilla: Queen of the Desert’, Marius in ‘Les Misérables’, and most recently as Tony in ‘Saturday Night Fever’.

SAMANTHA DODEMAIDE

Most recent theatre credits include Chicago the Musical, Evita and the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.Other stage credits include the title role in Violet for which she was nominated for a Sydney Theatre Critics award for Best Actress in a Musical;
Kathy Seldon understudy in Singin’ in the Rain, Erma and Reno understudy in Anything Goes, Charity understudy in Sweet Charity, Cassie, Diana, Maggie, Sheila and Judy understudy in A Chorus Line, The Producers, King Kong, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum and Anything Goes. In 2013 Samantha was the winner of the prestigious ANZ Trustees Rob Guest Endowment Award.

SOPHIA LARYEA

Trained in Performing Arts at Patrick School of the Arts under the direction of Todd Patrick. Sophia’s career has been very versatile as she has worked as a dancer, model and musical Theatre performer.
Her Theatre credits include The Lion King, Madiba the Musical, Cosentino and Cabaret De Paris. She has danced for Jessica Mauboy and Timomatic and PNAU. Sophia has also appeared on Australia’s Got Talent, Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell. Modelling includes TVC’s for L’Oréal, Bonds, Kmart and Cherry Ripe. Film includes THOR Creature Report for Marvel.

KARLI DINARDO

Karli Dinardo comes directly from the 1st National Tour of Broadway’s HAMILTON: An American Musical where she was the original Dance Captain, Swing, Understudy Peggy Schuyler & Maria Reynolds for a life changing two years.

Karli toured across America & Canada as the lead Alex Owens in Flashdance the Musical. Other credits include, 42nd Street, The Pyjama Game, The Music Man, West Side Story ( where she won the Broadway World Award for best supporting actress).

Karli is very grateful for her training at Patrick Studios Australia, and her college the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. Her most recent theatre credits include the role of Anita in West Side Story for Opera Australia and Dance Captain, Swing and understudy for Nini for Moulin Rouge Broadway.

NICK PHILLIPS

With both parents performing for the ‘Australian Ballet’, Nick has known the Performing Arts all his life. Not interested in Classical Dance from a young age, Nick was only a Hip-Hop before training at Patrick Studios.
Our aim was to help him develop other dance styles including Jazz, Commercial and Contemporary, in addition to training in Acting and Musical Theatre. Nick has gone on to perform both nationally and overseas, supporting Brittney Spears for her Las Vegas residency, and Kylie Minogue for her US tour. Currently back in Australia, Nick is preparing for his next role in the musical ‘Magic Mike’.

Melanie Hawkins

Roles include Stephanie in Saturday Night Fever, Oklahoma- Dance Captain, Singin’ In The Rain, Hugh Jackman:
Broadway to Oz, Strictly Ballroom the Musical, King Kong Live on Stage, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Rock of Ages, Into the Woods, Wicked The Musical – Witch’s Mother/Ensemble and Shout! The Legend of the Wild.

Nick Len

Before coming to Patrick Studios, Nick was a Hip-Hop Crew boy. During his training, he was battling with his desire for a career in the Arts.

Our very own Musical Theatre director Andrew Hallsworth recommended Nick for an audition in the Swan Song Tour. He was successful, and subsequently toured the UK, where he became the youngest Musical Director ever on the West End.

Nick has gone on to star in productions of ‘The King and I’, ‘Anything Goes’, ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’, ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Robin Hood’, in addition to a role in the film ‘Mamma Mia 2’. He has also appeared on ‘The Voice’ and ‘The 150 Year Television Special’ and is currently in the process of recording his first single.

Alex Given

Coming to train at Patrick Studios all the way from Tasmania, Alex started his journey in our esteemed Performing Arts course, before successfully transitioning into our Musical Theatre course.
Since the completion of his training, Alex has gone on to perform in a number of shows, such as A-Rab in ‘West Side Story’, ‘Anything Goes’, ‘Nice Work If You Can Get It’, ‘Guys and Dolls’, ‘Oklahoma’, ‘The Boy from Oz’, ‘Dusty’, ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, ‘South Pacific’, ‘Strictly Ballroom’, “Georgie Girl’, ‘Seekers’, ‘My Fair Lady’, and most recently ‘The Book of Mormon’ on the West End. He has also worked in the Film and TV industry with credits such as Nick Conigrave in ‘Holding The Man’, Stan in ‘Weavel’, as well as working on ‘The Wrong Girl’ and ‘Offspring’.

Taylor Scanlan

Starting his career as a Gymnast, offered to compete in our National team. Taylor redirected his passion to combine his love for dance with his acrobatics training.

Taylor has trained in all styles of dance, singing and acting for 6 years at Patrick Studios Australia. In 2015, he made his Musical Theatre debut in ‘La Cage Aux Folles’ for The Production Company. He was then cast as Bill Bailey/Mr Mistoffelees cover in ‘Cats’ The Musical’s 2015/16 Australian/New Zealand tour. Taylor then ventured overseas again to perform in ‘Viva La Broadway’ in Macau before joining the cast of Matthew Bourne’s ‘Lord of the Flies’ in his hometown of Melbourne. He was also Dance Captain for ‘Cats’ The Musical’s 2017/2018 Asia Tour.

Taylor’s most recent theatre credits include cast of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and is Swing/Dance Captain for CATS The Musical’s 2020 tour of South Korea.

Julian Ardley

Growing up in Mount Eliza in far North-Queensland, young gymnast Julian was relentlessly bullied and harassed at school, with little to no action from his teachers.
Having never danced before the age of 19, he made his way to Melbourne to start training at Patrick Studios. Julian has gone on to work continuously in a number of musicals for ‘The Production Company’ and has modelled all over the world for many luxury brands, including Gucci, Dior, and Versace. Currently, he is the Dance Captain in the boy’s line at the ‘L’ido de Paris’, in France.

Adam Noviello

Adam made his professional theatre debut as Hanna From Hamburg in La Cage Aux Folles with The Production Company.

Theatre credits since include Derek Bell in The Girlie Show (La Mama Theatre/Tunks Productions), Funny Girl (The Production Company), Understudy Rudolpho in the Australian/NZ tour of Matilda The Musical (RSC/ Louise Withers and Associates), Farrah/Young Bernadette in Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (Michael Cassel Group) and most recently the 2019-20 Australian tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (GFO). Adam’s cabaret credits include successful seasons of The Last Five Queers (Midwinta Festival), one-man shows There Was A Boy… and Songs For Girls (Chapel Off Chapel) and the lead role in the world premiere of The Muse, a one man song cycle by Shanon Whitelock (Chapel Off Chapel/ Melbourne Fringe).

Adam is also the co-author, co-producer and lead actor in the new Australian feature film Spencer, directed by Martyn Park, which made its world premiere as the Opening Night film at the PRIDE Queer Film Festival 2020. Adam is a proud member of MEAA.
